Dadgummit, where did my day go?
Last year, one of my failings, among many, was that I did not manage my time very effectively. Then I managed to procrastinate and almost missed (almost) a few commitments like the AWAI Method. I also tended to over-commit. They're related, aren't they?
Oops, that's three of my vices, isn't it? Oh well, I never was very good at counting.
I asked my mentor just recently what he used to manage his time because I know he is almost overwhelmed to the point of distraction. He gave me the best advice I have received so far this year. It's called the Microsoft To Do App.
Oh my gosh, I love it! Do you know what else I love? My productivity has increased tenfold. Thank you, Mentor!
What is To Do?
Microsoft To Do is a task management and organization app developed by Microsoft. It is accessible on various platforms, including Windows, Mac, iOS, Android, and the web. With Microsoft To Do, you can create task lists, set reminders, and keep track of your to-do items in various ways.
You can create different task lists for other areas of your life, such as work, personal, and family, and you can customize each list with your color and icon. Microsoft To Do also integrates with other Microsoft products, such as Outlook, so you can access your tasks from any device.
How am I organized now?
Let’s look.
Two of the most significant features I like are that I can set a task as recurring, put it as daily, weekly, etc., and forget it. Each day if I set it at daily, I will have it appear on My Day. I was using Trello, but it just wasn’t working for me. I would have to set a new task each day. With Microsoft To Do, there isn’t that problem.
The second feature that I like is the Add Note feature.
For instance, if I call a company to make a payment, I can notate it similarly to S/W Mary. Made payment for $40.02. Used MC.
Summary
I have only gotten into the beginning of using To Do, but so far, my interactions with the app are very positive.
💡Hmmm, I wonder if I can create a category for Webinars and be able to combine all my calendar events from my three different Google calendars and incorporate them into To Do. 🤔 Might be worth checking it out.
Keep track of me. You’ll never know what I’m going to write about next. 😜
